[ ] Identify the business owner and technical point of contact.
[ ] List in-scope AWS accounts, regions, services and workloads.
[ ] Describe important business processes and data sensitivity.
[ ] Confirm written authorization, scope and excluded activities.
[ ] Agree on least-privilege assessment access; never email access keys.
[ ] Identify applicable frameworks and contractual requirements.
[ ] Gather architecture diagrams and relevant security policies.
[ ] Summarize existing logging, monitoring and vulnerability processes.
[ ] Identify known findings, accepted risks and documented exceptions.
[ ] Agree on evidence handling, retention and secure communication.
[ ] Define deliverables, priority criteria and report recipients.
[ ] Assign remediation owners and plan a findings walkthrough.
[ ] Agree on follow-up validation and engagement completion criteria.
